A new release (v3) of the KwikNet TCP/IP Stack
is now available with an expanded range of protocols.
Optional components provide advanced networking features such as
IPv6, IPsec, IKE and SSL.
For network management you can now choose from SNMP v1, v2 and v3.
With KwikNet v3 you can employ NAT, RIP, IGMP, AutoIP and POP3
if needed for your networking product.
And of course the commonly required options for
PPP, FTP, TFTP, Telnet, Web Server and SMTP
remain available with the v3 release.

The KwikNet Porting Kit can now be used to embed the
KwikNet TCP/IP Stack in applications which incorporate
the Blackfin ADSP-BF5xx DSP but do not make use of the
Blackfin VDK kernel (RTOS) provided by Analog Devices, Inc.
Developers can therefore add network support to any Blackfin
project which must operate with a different RTOS or in a
single threaded fashion.

 |
The KwikNet ADSP-BF537 Ethernet
Device Driver is now available for the Blackfin
ADSP-BF537 Ethernet Controller from
Analog Devices, Inc.
The driver has been tested on the EZ-Kit Lite board.
The driver is suitable for use with KwikNet for Blackfin and the
VDK kernel. It can also be used with the KwikNet Porting Kit
if you are using the Blackfin processor with another RTOS
or in a single threaded fashion.

 |
The KwikNet MCF5xxx UART Serial Device Driver is now
available, allowing many of the the Freescale ColdFire MCF5xxx
serial controllers to be used for communication over
PPP and SLIP networks.
The driver has been tested on the ColdFire MCF5xxx processors
identified in the list of
targets supported by KwikNet.
|
 |
The KwikNet AT91 USART Serial Device Driver is now
available, allowing the Atmel serial controller to be used for
communication over PPP and SLIP networks. The driver utilizes
the built-in DMA transfer capabilities inherent in the Atmel part.
The driver has been tested on the Atmel AT91EB40 Evaluation Board
equipped with an AT91R40807 processor.
|
 |
The KwikNet MCF5475 Ethernet Device Driver is now
available for the Freescale MCF5475 Fast Ethernet Controller (FEC).
The driver includes support for the MCF5475 Multi-channel DMA
(MCDMA) using the Freescale MCDMA API and microcode library.
The driver has been tested on the M5475EVB Evaluation Board
from Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.
|
 |
The KwikNet MPC5200 Ethernet Device Driver is now
available for the Freescale MPC5200 Fast Ethernet Controller (FEC)
coupled to the BestComm DMA Engine.
The driver has been tested on the Lite5200 Evaluation Board
from Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.
|
 |
The KwikNet FTP Client can now be used with SSL
(the Secure Sockets Layer) to provide secure communication sessions
with any FTP server which supports the FTP security extensions
proposed by RFC 2228.
|
 |
AMX 4-ARM and AMX 4-Thumb now include support for
the Metrowerks ARM and Thumb software development tools.
KwikLook has been updated to provide task-aware support
for the CodeWarrior Debugger for ARM and Thumb processors.
|
 |
As of May 16, 2005, all variants
of the AMX kernel, the AMX/FS File System and KwikLook
have been updated for use with the latest toolsets available
from software vendors supported by KADAK. Board support for many
new ARM, PowerPC and ColdFire boards is now included with AMX.
|
 |
AMX PPC32 for the PowerPC family has been
updated to add support for the Freescale MPC5200 processor.
Board support for the Lite5200 Evaluation Board is included.
|
 |
AMX PPC32 for the PowerPC family has also been
updated to add support for the Freescale MPC8560ADS processor,
a member of the e500 PowerPC series.
Board support for the MPC8560ADS Evaluation Board is included.
|
 |
As of October 15, 2004, all variants
of the KwikNet TCP/IP Stack, the KwikNet Porting Kit and all
KwikNet options have been replaced by the new v3 equivalent
components.
