Using the Configuration Manager
|
To use KwikPeg, you must first
construct the KwikPeg Library to reflect the options and features
which your application requires. These parameters are kept in a text
file which you create and edit using the KwikPeg Configuration Manager,
a Windows® utility which ensures
that KwikPeg is always properly configured for your use.
The following illustration shows the Configuration Manager's edit window
as it appears while configuring the KwikPeg Library.
Your physical video controller must have an associated device driver.
The device driver is "connected" to KwikPeg
by selecting the driver from the pull down list provided by the
KwikPeg Configuration Manager.
See the Device Drivers
section of this document for a list of the available KwikPeg
device drivers.
To add your own custom driver, you simply enter the name you have
assigned to your device driver in place of the device driver name
provided by the KwikPeg Configuration Manager.
In either case, the KwikPeg Manager allows you to enter a set of
device dependent parameters to adapt the driver for use in your particular
hardware configuration.
The KwikPeg Configuration Manager will create a make file ready
for use with the
Microsoft NMAKE utility and any of
the popular C compilers which KADAK supports for each target processor.
No more editing of countless C header files to get your graphical options
properly defined. No more wondering if a symbol should be defined
or left undefined. No more guessing what the defined value should be.
Just point, click and fill in the blanks. It's that easy.
